It is east to reach the island of Capraia.
By motorway Genoa - Livorno o Florence – Exit at Livorno and follow the indications for the port. The airport of Pisa is at 18 km.

Leave the car in the fee-paying car park, near the maritime station from where the Livorno - Capraia ferries leave (around 2.30 hours).

It is possible to spend the night before the departure of the ferry at the Hotel Gran Duca and have dinner in an excellent restaurant, as it is just 200 meters away from the embarking point.
The port is very close to the city centre therefore it is easily reachable from the train station.
